What Is the EVA Plus Pressure Relieving Mattress? 

The EVA Plus is a pressure relieving mattress system that replaces the standard hospital mattress entirely, rather than layering over it. It combines a digital control unit with individually replaceable air cells to prevent and treat pressure injuries up to category 4. 

Category 4 pressure injuries involve full-thickness tissue loss with bone, tendon, or joint involvement, according to a 2024 NCBI StatPearls review, so care teams need a support surface that can keep pace with more advanced wounds. We built the EVA Plus to cover that higher-acuity range while remaining suitable for standard long-term and short-term care. 

How Does the EVA Plus Prevent and Treat Pressure Injuries? 

The EVA Plus mattress runs four operating modes, AUTO, Pulsating, CLP, and Maxfirm, giving clinicians more control over pressure redistribution than a single-mode overlay allows. Eva plus also changes pressure points every 5 min. 

AUTO Mode 

AUTO mode continuously reads and adjusts to the patient’s condition, so the pressure relieving mattress adapts in real time instead of relying on a fixed cycle. 

Pulsating and CLP Modes 

Pulsating mode cycles air through the cells every 12 to 15 minutes, continuously redistributing pressure to provide dynamic support and improve patient comfort during extended bed rest. CLP (Constant Low Pressure) mode maintains steady pressure across the mattress surface, making it suitable for patients who require consistent, continuous pressure redistribution without frequent pressure changes. Together, these modes allow clinicians to select the most appropriate therapy based on the patient’s condition and level of pressure injury risk.
